Debation with wisdom, research with rationalism

  Since the beginning of the debate contest in the class of 2010, international class has boasted lots of good debaters. Today, international class of 2011 created the splendid history through one-month effort by winning the champion of ‘Nanche Zhuzhou Debation Contest’ with an all-win performance during four contests in the School of Electrical Engineering.
  “Debation with wisdom, research with rationalism. Hello everybody, I’m Cui Xinhui, first debater of the opponent side”. She was praised as experienced and perfect by the judges in all the four contests; Yu Tianhe, second debater, handled the questions in a smooth and powerful way; Zhang Hongyu, third debater, with his aggressive attack and powerful defense, fought back fiercely in free debation. He was honoured the best debater in the final contest; Liu Yuchen, the fourth debater, could always make up for the problems occurring during the debation with perfect conclusions...Many people were amazed at their performance and took them as experienced ones, but in fact, it is truly a new team.
  While being informed of the contest, Tong Baoying, the monitor, started to organize a team. Although with huge study load and busy life, the international debating team of 2011 finally came to itself with Tong as the team leader and four debaters as Cui Xinhui, Yu Tianhe, Zhang Hongyu and Liu Yuchen respectively.
  With the contest around the corner and no experience, the international debating team has found their way out: with the help of Ma Hongji, the monitor of the international class of 2010, a debater in the debating team of HIT and his rich debating experience, the team has attained a good knowledge of what they should pay attention to during the contest, especially the construction of logic chain, etc. Given the basic knowledge of the debating contest from the patient senior student, their confidence has been increased. The five members of the team often got together in the classroom and talked about the topic. Although lacking of experience, the five members were convinced that diligence could make up for this and spent enough time in the preparations. With time passing by, tacit understanding has been achieved among the members. The opening statement was drafted by Cui Xinhui and reviewed by Tong Baoying and Yu Tianhe and then checked words by words. The five, each performed their own functions while helping each other in the team-work atmosphere.
  After contests, members often gathered together to make analysis on the problems cropped up in the contests and winning and losing seemed less important. To rethink in victory and to progress in rethink. With their conditions getting better and understanding to each other getting deeper, the members are getting stronger. Although encountered many competitive professional debaters in the contests, they never lost their edge and won the contest through overall strength.
  Eventually, the international class won the champion of the final contest with sufficient preparations and great partnership. The contests have brought us not only the happiness from winning but also the increase of personal ability and closer relationship. On the other hand, there was a great improvement in the fame of international class and its interaction between School of Electrical Engineering.
  In fact, the contest is not as important as the spirit of cooperation, devotion and teamwork they have demonstrated during the contest.
